World’s Smallest Book Club (est. 2014) began when my most bookish friend and I sat bemoaning the difficulty of finding a local book club with truly critical and thought-provoking discussions — until I realized, “Hey! We could start that book club!”

In the years since its formation, World’s Smallest Book Club has allowed me to hone my skills in selecting books likely to generate thoughtful discussion and writing questions that will take our conversations to interesting and insightful places. Our book club also involves a yearly category-based reading challenge which we design to push us out of our typical reading habits and thus expose us to new genres, authors, and ideas.

I launched our website in 2019 with the hopes of encouraging people to have shared and communal reading experiences with the other readers in their lives. In addition to the discussion questions that I write for each book, I also provide hosting ideas and suggestions for further reading.
